Full Shower Repair in Revesby
Project Type
Leaking Shower Repair
Location
Revesby, Sydney, NSW
Project Duration
3 Weeks
Completion Date
November 2025
The Problem
The client had started to notice moisture appearing around the bathroom doorway, with visible damage to the architraves and door jamb.
This is often a tell-tale sign that the shower has not been formed correctly. In this case, it was likely that the hob (the raised edge that contains the shower water) was either installed too low or had been compromised during the installation of the tiles or shower screen.
If left unresolved, this type of issue can allow water to escape the shower area and continue spreading into adjoining spaces. Over time, this can lead to more extensive damage beyond the bathroom itself.
The Solution
As specialists in leaking shower repairs, we focus on addressing the root cause, not just the visible damage.
To properly resolve the issue, we carried out a full shower rebuild.
This included:
- Removing all floor and wall tiles within the shower area
- Installing a new puddle flange to bring the drainage system in line with current Australian Standards
- Installing a custom copper tray system for added long-term protection
- Relining the walls with fibre cement sheeting (Villaboard)
- Applying two coats of waterproofing in accordance with AS 3740
The shower was then finished with new tiles and a frameless shower screen, ensuring both functionality and a clean, updated look.
Most importantly, the shower is now fully sealed and built to perform as it should, giving the client confidence that the issue has been properly resolved.

The Design Stage – The CBRS Advantage
When carrying out a shower repair, there’s always an important design decision to make — how the new shower area will integrate with the existing bathroom.
In some cases, clients may have spare tiles available, which allows for a seamless match. Otherwise, we guide them through two options:
- Matching as closely as possible to the existing finishes
- Or introducing a subtle feature that complements the space
For this project, we were able to match the existing white wall tiles, while introducing a patterned floor tile within the shower.
This created a soft point of interest, while still feeling cohesive with the rest of the bathroom — as though it was always intended to be part of the original design.
We’re just so pleased the leak has finally been repaired properly, and it looks beautiful. We can’t believe how smoothly the whole process went.
